This month, last year in collaboration with the Investment Institute at Investec Asset Management, we launched 'Emerging Africa' a book by Kingsely Moghalu, Deputy Governor of the Nigerian Central Bank.

He nicely sent us a copy of the book in the very beautiful paperback edition.

Emerging Africa goes beneath the surface of both afro-optimism and afro-pessimism to address what has held Africa down and how the continent can prosper and matter in the world through far-reaching economic transformation.

Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu is Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Sogato Strategies S.A., a global strategy and risk management firm in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that, Moghalu spent seventeen years working for the United Nations, at duty stations in New York, Cambodia, Croatia, Tanzania and Switzerland.

Emerging Africa: How the Global Economy's 'Last Frontier' Can Prosper and Matter' is published by Penguin.
